Die TRAM-EM-Fans in Osteuropa mussten lange auf ihre Meisterschaft warten. Ursprünglich für 2020 geplant, musste die 10. Auflage 2 Mal Corona-bedingt verschoben werden. Am 3. Juni 2023 war es dann endlich soweit - 25 Teams aus 19 Ländern reisten nach Oradea in Rumänien. Erstmals bei der TRAM-EM sind Teams aus Bordeaux, Nürnberg, Oslo, Warschau und Zagreb.

Das Organisationsteam der lokalen Verkehrsbetriebe OTL hatte sich viel vorgenommen. Oradea als Hotspot des europäischen ÖPNV zu inszenieren, war das Ziel, entsprechend hoch die Erwartungen. Mit dem Veranstaltungsort im schönen, historischen Zentrum der Stadt war der perfekte Ort schnell gefunden, und auch die Ausstattung der Wettbewerbe ließ keine Wünsche offen. Was jedoch alle Teilnehmer als besonders schön empfanden, war die überwältigende Gastfreundlichkeit vom Team OTL.

Die Wettbewerbe selbst waren einmal mehr spannend bis zur letzten Fahrt. Neuzugang Zagreb führte zur Halbzeit vor Wien und Prag. Im zweiten Lauf schiebt sich Ian Collins aus Dublin in Front, bevor sich die Skandinavier aus Göteborg, Stockholm und Oslo einen heißen Dreikampf liefern. Sandra Kaider und Andreas Kainrad aus Wien konnte sich schließlich mit einem perfekten 2. Lauf an die Spitze kämpfen, wo sie nur noch warten mussten, ob Ljiljana Pezo Rogic aus Zagreb Nerven zeigt. Das Ergebnis spricht eine deutliche Sprache: Wien gewinnt mit 4300 Punkte, vor Göteborg mit 4180 Punkten und Prag mit 3630 Punkten.

Teilnehmer und Orgateam sind sich einig - Die 10. Auflage der TRAM-EM hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Eine Fortsetzung wird heiß erwartet. Nur wo and wann ist zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch unklar.

TRAM-EM fans in Eastern Europe had to wait a long time for their championship. Originally planned for 2020, the 10th edition had to be postponed twice due to Corona pandemic. On June 3, 2023 the time had finally come - 25 teams from 19 nations traveled to Oradea in Romania. Teams from Bordeaux, Nuremberg, Oslo, Warsaw and Zagreb are taking part in the European Tramdriver Championship for the first time.

The organizing team from the local transport company OTL had a lot planned. The goal was to present Oradea as the hotspot for European public transport. Expectations were correspondingly high. With the venue in the beautiful, historic center of the city, the perfect location was quickly found, and the competition equipment also left nothing to be desired. However, what all participants found particularly wonderful was the overwhelming hospitality of the OTL team.

The competitions themselves were once again exciting until the last ride. Newcomer Zagreb led at halftime ahead of Vienna and Prague. In the second run, Ian Collins from Dublin moves into the front before the Scandinavians from Gothenburg, Stockholm and Oslo engage in a hot three-way battle. Sandra Kaider and Andreas Kainrad from Vienna were finally able to fight their way to the top with a perfect second run, where they just had to wait to see whether Ljiljana Pezo Rogic from Zagreb showed her nerves. The result speaks for itself: Vienna wins with 4,300 points, ahead of Gothenburg with 4,180 points and Prague with 3,630 points.

Participants and the organizing team agree - the 10th edition of the TRAM-EM European Tramdriver Championship exceeded all expectations. A sequel is eagerly awaited. Only where and when is still unclear at this point.

Les supporters du Championnat d'Europe TRAM d'Europe de l'Est ont dû attendre longtemps pour obtenir leur championnat. Initialement prévue pour 2020, la 10e édition a dû être reportée à deux reprises en raison du Corona. Le 3 juin 2023, le moment était enfin venu : 25 équipes de 19 pays se sont rendues à Oradea, en Roumanie. Des équipes de Bordeaux, Nuremberg, Oslo, Varsovie et Zagreb participent pour la première fois aux Championnats d'Europe TRAM.

L'équipe organisatrice de la société de transport locale OTL avait beaucoup de choses prévues. L'objectif était de présenter Oradea comme un point névralgique des transports publics européens, et les attentes étaient donc élevées. Le lieu étant situé dans le magnifique centre historique de la ville, l'emplacement idéal a été rapidement trouvé et l'équipement de compétition ne laissait également rien à désirer. Cependant, ce que tous les participants ont trouvé particulièrement agréable, c'est l'hospitalité exceptionnelle de l'équipe d'OTL.

Les compétitions elles-mêmes étaient encore une fois passionnantes jusqu'à la dernière course. Le nouveau venu Zagreb menait à la mi-temps devant Vienne et Prague. Dans la deuxième course, Ian Collins de Dublin prend la tête avant que les Scandinaves de Göteborg, Stockholm et Oslo ne s'engagent dans une chaude bataille à trois. Sandra Kaider et Andreas Kainrad de Vienne ont finalement réussi à se frayer un chemin jusqu'au sommet grâce à un deuxième run parfait, où ils n'ont plus qu'à attendre de voir si Ljiljana Pezo Rogic de Zagreb montrerait ses nerfs. Le résultat parle de lui-même : Vienne l'emporte avec 4.300 points, devant Göteborg avec 4.180 points et Prague avec 3.630 points.

Les participants et l'équipe organisatrice sont d'accord : la 10e édition des Championnats d'Europe TRAM a dépassé toutes les attentes. Une suite est très attendue. Seulement où et quand cela n’est pas encore clair à ce stade.
